Davenport Aviation Selected as Prime Contractor for U.S. Air Force KC-46 CASPER Program

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Columbus, Ohio – August 20, 2026

Davenport Aviation is pleased to announce its selection as a prime contractor awardee for the U.S. Air Force’s KC-46 Commercial Aircraft Strategic Parts Exchange and Repair (CASPER) program, expanding the company’s role in supporting the KC-46A Pegasus fleet.

CASPER is a five-year, multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract designed to provide worldwide supply support for KC-46A depot-level repair requirements. Through the program, Davenport Aviation will be eligible to compete for individual task orders supporting the repair and exchange of critical aircraft components.

The award builds upon Davenport Aviation’s established support of the KC-46 program through the U.S. Air Force’s KC-46 Initial Spares (KIS) contract. Davenport’s experience supporting the platform has strengthened the company’s supply chain, component sourcing, quality, and program management capabilities and provides a strong foundation for its expanded role under CASPER.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Davenport Aviation and another important step in the continued growth of our company,” said Mitch Kautz, Vice President of Commercial Sales at Davenport Aviation. “Our team has built a strong foundation supporting the KC-46 program, and this award gives us the opportunity to expand that support in a meaningful way. We’re proud of the trust the U.S. Air Force has placed in Davenport and look forward to bringing the same responsiveness, quality, and commitment to the CASPER program that we bring to our customers every day.”

The KC-46A Pegasus provides aerial refueling, cargo transportation, and aeromedical evacuation capabilities in support of U.S. and allied operations. Maintaining a responsive supply chain and access to serviceable components is critical to sustaining aircraft availability and mission readiness.

Under CASPER, Davenport Aviation will build upon its commercial aviation and defense supply chain experience to support repair management, component exchanges, supplier coordination, quality compliance, and other sustainment requirements associated with the KC-46 fleet.

Davenport Aviation’s selection for the CASPER program reflects the company’s continued growth across both commercial and government aviation. By combining decades of aircraft parts and supply chain experience with an expanding portfolio of direct government programs, Davenport continues to strengthen its ability to support complex aviation requirements across the aircraft lifecycle.

The overall KC-46 CASPER multiple-award contract has a ceiling of approximately $471 million, with individual requirements to be competed among selected prime contractors throughout the five-year ordering period.

Davenport Aviation looks forward to continuing its support of the U.S. Air Force and contributing to the readiness and long-term sustainment of the KC-46A Pegasus fleet.
